    Generator cutoff

Hello @LydMekk , thanks for that. I am learning his new controller and setups. I think we could safely set a max run time. That would be better then continuous run for hours and hours. As it is, he does burn up his backup generators after 2yr of use. they run alot. He has 2 backups he flops...

    Generator cutoff

We have a Sol Ark 12k controller. It will turn on the Generator when battery supply drops. It will never shut it off. Is this typical? I end up checking the battery level on the controller LCD. If charged, I will shut it off manually. Is this normal? As it gets colder out. I doubt he will want...

LiFePO, well there goes the prices

Yes all autos are reduced factory output, just today Toyota announced reducing their output due to supply issues. We will see how this all plays out. Electronic chips are in short supply, I haven't seen a price go up, just device shortages.

LiFePO, well there goes the prices

Just heard on Biz news, Rivian automotive will start using LiFePo batteries in there new trucks. Due to Nickle supply. Wonder how this will effect the smaller batteries we all purchase.

Will, your current video "Quick Morning Rant: Chinese VS American Solar Products"

what amazes me, is with all the welfare / assistance handing out. why does the same government not require those to help out the city/gov. Bring back some work groups to pay for your free/subsidized assistance. Example how much trash is around your city, how many city / country parts need lawn...

Will, your current video "Quick Morning Rant: Chinese VS American Solar Products"

I would love to know the number of REG's ( recent college grads) that get out to work vs those that as you said, stay home and milk mom n dad more or the state . Compare that now to 10yr and 20yr ago. I think the number is increasing. I see the same thing in my circle of life. Pretty sad. I...

exactly the point. if we all started to be more dependent on our selves, it would bleed into making America more independent and creative.

A smart mind listens to others, gets 2 sides of an opinion. Only the closed mind is so weak they dont want other input. @alfaeric some times its conversation starters, that bring up a problem discuss give opinions that pushes some to think, and take action. Just because he didn't say "I'm...

Rv upgrade 280 lipo4 battery HELP needed

I think your not quite understanding him... 4 cell 12 batter would only be a series setup. Not parallel. Parallel would be only 3.2v at (4x280ah) if he put 4 12v batteries in series that would make it 48v right? Not many RV's run on48v. he said parallel so the amperage increments, not the voltage.

12v for a trailer, but 24v is more efficient.

ok, thanks for the tip. I will just run a 110v 10/2 wire to the panel then. shouldn't be too bad.

12v for a trailer, but 24v is more efficient.

Yes I currently have same 560ah battery bank. cable size is an issue, currently batteries are in front, and the inverter my thinking should go close to the power box. However this means running 4/0 wire front ( under bed) to the mid section about 20ft towards rear to power box. This would keep...

12v for a trailer, but 24v is more efficient.

Thanks Jim for chiming in, I remember some discussions in the past about your 12v system. Hoping you would give some input. I'm leaning the same way... generator for AC and 110 converter for the rest. I guess I dont really need the 3k watt Multi if i go this way.

12v for a trailer, but 24v is more efficient.

@stewchi @Sojourner1 it sounds like your usage will be close to mine. Boondocking, will just be cooling off before bed if too hot. Not necessarily running all day. My system is very young right now. My biggest concern after getting my TT ( 1.5yr ago) was the low supply of FLA. So i jumped onto...

12v for a trailer, but 24v is more efficient.

Hello @stechi yes I do have 12v loads that is the motors i spoke of, The lights in the TT are 12v so there is that. I would use them after sundown. There is a need for my AC on the roof. that is the biggest load. @chrisski yes I think i saw another post talking about a dc/dc from amazon and...

12v for a trailer, but 24v is more efficient.

I have convinced my self to get the 12v/3000w Victron multiplus. Nice all in one package. Just about ready to pull the trigger, abut I keep thinking about 24v systems are more efficient. I have not purchased solar panels yet. My system is only 2 4cell LiFePo batteries under the bed replacing my...

    280ah / Chargery package

yes the chargery is a BMS. you would have to verify if this model can be used for 2 pack 4S config. From my reading with external adaptor, you can do 2S-8S.

    One cell charging to fast

I am far from an expert on the LIfePo batteries, but my experience and listening to others here, top balancing is the key. I have discharged them, charged them back up, topping them all up to same level, then discharging again. I keep cycling them to the top, single cell topping off if...
