    Problem with Combiner Box

I was wondering I did put ferrules on the wire which was not there in the past do you think this could be an issue. It's raining now but I will let you know how it turns out when I cut them off.

    Problem with Combiner Box

The issue to me is out at the combiner box with the wire going to the bottom of the circuit breakers being 80V. But when it goes out the top to the busbas it is at 3.4V. Then it goes from there into the house and everything in there the CC and the 63A circuit breaker tests 3.4V same as the...

    Problem with Combiner Box

Everything with the box with the 63A breaker and the CC checked out good. The problem seems to be the combiner box the lines coming in from the panels to the bottom of the breakers test 80V but when they go out to the top bus bar they test 3.4V. I didn't know where to go from here.

    Problem with Combiner Box

I'm having an issue and cannot figure it out. I have 4 - 100W Rich solar panels (VOC 22.6V & ISC 5.86A) connected in series and 4 - 100W HQST solar panels (VOC 21.6V & ISC 6.5A) connected in series going to a 6 string Midnight Solar Combiner Box. When I test them the wires coming into the...

    Combiner box

I have a question I have 2 sets of 4 -100watt panels in series going to a Midnight Solar Combiner Box and each panel is VOC of 22.6V and Isc of 5.86A should I have a 15, 20, or 25 amp circuit breaker in the combiner box. Then this will be going to a 150/60 Charge controller which I'm hoping will...

Understanding Charge Controller Volts and Amps

Yes everything you said is right. They will get about 5 - 6 hours of sun on a good day, no shade during that time. I thought instead of only 88V coming out of the Combiner box going from both strings to one controller. I thought 1 string on each CC going to the batteries would charge them faster.

Understanding Charge Controller Volts and Amps

So if I had another CC I could have one string on one and the other string on the second one. I had a real issue here in Michigan over the winter last year with 4 sets of 2 panels in series coming out of the combiner box keeping my 3 - 100AH lithium batteries charged. I would have 4 panels in...

Understanding Charge Controller Volts and Amps

Thats what I didn't understand is you take the lowest voltage from the parellel string instead of adding all the voltages coming out of the combiner box going to the CC.

Understanding Charge Controller Volts and Amps

Are you saying that I would get 85.8V instead of 90V andbe good enough for the 150V of the CC
  15. D

Understanding Charge Controller Volts and Amps

So what you're saying is only 88V and 12A from the HQST panels and not the 90V from the 4 Rich panels get added together. Is that because the combiner box they end up in Parellel. I shut everything in the house down before I figured this out.

Understanding Charge Controller Volts and Amps

Thats where I got the 175 by adding the 90 from the Rich panels and the 85 from the HQST. You say I should be seeing 85 coming out of the CC what happens to the 90 from the Rich panels. All 3 strings go to the Combiner Box and each has a 15A breaker. I just did this p and have shut it down in...

Understanding Charge Controller Volts and Amps

I'm having an issue understanding the volts and amps going to a CC. Right now I have 4-100W Rich poly solar panels at 22.6VOC if I put 4 in series would be 4x22.6=90.4V and ISC is 5.86A Then I have 2 HQST mono solar panels 21.6voc in series so 2x21.6=43.2V and ISC is 6.5A and 2 more at...

    Charging

Hi all I have a question for someone smarter than me. I saw on one of Will Prowse's video where he did a milk crate build of a generator with a 50ah lithium battery that he took his Drok 48V 10A power AC-DC charger and charger and ran it through a Rich 20A charge controller. at 8 Minutes He...

    Power issue

Thank you everyone for all your help. My shunt is at 100% and 14.23V after running the charger for all day & night. Now just to see if there is something wrong with my Epever 40A CC any suggestions on how to test it would be appreciated

    Power issue

I hope you have some time to help with this issue. What do you think about turning off all power that maybe going in the power inverter make sure no energy is being used, then push calibrate. I turned off "Battery starts synchronized" I had someone else tell me about this. I went out to the...

I have traditional panels and not flexible. I will try isolating each string I can just turn the circuit breaker at the combiner box, I did not think of that. Thank you

    Power issue

The only fuse I have for the CC is in the Lynx Power In. There are 3 circuit breakers in the combiner box one for each string of panels

    Power issue

Should I check the panels, Combiner Box, circuit breaker before the CC, or the CC itself Thats why I questioned if the CC was going bad it is 2+ years old and on 24/7

    Power issue

This shows the inverters I have. The Power Tech On 2000w inverter gets turned off at night but, the Victron 1200/12 is on 24/7 because it is connected to my transfer switch which controls my boiler pump motor. It has not been real sunny lately but in the summer it was working great. I have...

    Power issue

I have a question: I have a SmartShunt 500/50mV. I get a notification of low voltage on the app. It's showing 11.21V but the percentage on the shunt shows batteries at 100%. This morning everything was off and I cannot figure out why. So I plugged in my battery charger and everything came back...

    All-In-One Inverter advice

This whole post started out with me want this for a fridge and a freezer one at 5A and one at 6A both at 115V. I'm in the process right now of checking both of them with a Kill-a-Watt meter to see where they are at. I have a Epever CC, a 2000W inverter, a Victron 12/1200 inverter, 3-100...

    All-In-One Inverter advice

Will Prowse did a video with the EG4 3000W inverter and talked about using the EG4 48V 100AH battery and how they communicated with each other it's good to watch. I know one disadvantage I have thought about is having all your eggs in one basket and what if something happens to one of the...
