    Multiplus Powerassist

So I just wanted to verify that if the Mulitplus 3000 is hooked up to shore power on say a 15A circuit, I can have a single load pull more than 3000W (or up to 4800W) from the Multiplus 3000 continuously without issue?

    DIY Peak Shaving?

Yeah, I don't feel too good about opening up my very very nice induction cooker or oven to achieve what you suggest. On the complexity and cost - too late, I've already bought the components for the project. This is a fun experiment to learn and at the end of the day, provide utility. Any...

    DIY Peak Shaving?

The oven and the induction cooker are 1800w each. The oven is hooked directly to the 20A circuit. The induction cooker is hooked to the inverter. When the oven is on, the goal is to power the induction cooker mostly off of the battery with a little assistance from AC outlet (hence the need...

    Multiplus Powerassist

I'm a bit confused by what is presented in this video: Is it the case that if shore power is providing 15A (1800W), (for a Multiplus 3000) we can pull 3000W or 25A from the battery to run a load that is 40A (4800W)? I was thinking that the unit was limited to 3000W even with shore power. Does...

    DIY Peak Shaving?

Hmm, I'd like to run both at the same time, hence the battery to support the extra load.

Which Jokari is Will using in this video?

Thanks, can you provide the link?

    DIY Peak Shaving?

Hmm, not following what you mean. Which heating device are you referring to? Can anyone comment on whether a DC motor controller can regulate the power charging output to a battery?

    DIY Peak Shaving?

Yeah, I need something lower than 10A. My immediate challenge is sharing a 20A circuit with an oven (15A) and an induction cooker (15A). To simplify the problem, if the oven is off, I want to allow full power access from the circuit (which depends on the power supply) to power the induction...

    DIY Peak Shaving?

Ah looks good! How much control do you have over the grid charging current? I was considering a Mulitplus but depending on which one you get, the grid floor is something around 7-9A. I've already bought my inverter so still open to other options.

    DIY Peak Shaving?

Hello, As an exercise to understand this stuff better, I've been trying to figure out how to build a DIY peak shaver - reducing grid power draw during the day in favor of battery power and use grid power at night to charge batteries when electricity is cheaper. I have a feeling that the answer...

Grid Charger + Battery, Dual Operation

Great, thanks! Is there anyway to limit the power output from the battery charger? That is, if I want to pull from the grid at a lower power (e.g. 300W), what inline device can I use on the DC side to achieve this? The motivation is to use a higher power battery charger, charge higher power at...

Grid Charger + Battery, Dual Operation

Hello, Been trying to learn about these systems. Simple diagram below, Trying to understand what happens when - I'm assuming that unequal voltages between the charger and battery is okay during operation of the AC load, correct? 1) AC load - 750W, does 250W come from the battery and 500W...

    Electrodacus Design-Adding Alternator and Inverter/Charger

Ah, got it. I was thinking ahead when I saw that the MP-II 48/3000 120V system was being introduced in December per https://www.victronenergy.com/media/pricelist/WEB_EUR_C_WithoutIP65_PricelistVictron2020-Q4.pdf Seems it won't work with the Electrodacus though (no 48V support).

    Electrodacus Design-Adding Alternator and Inverter/Charger

Thanks. Curious about whether you had thought about waiting for the 120V version of the Mulitplus-II.

    Electrodacus Design-Adding Alternator and Inverter/Charger

@APhoton I want to build a similar system, do you happen to know where EXTIO3 and EXTIO4 are connected to on the Multiplus?
