I'm a bit confused by what is presented in this video:

Is it the case that if shore power is providing 15A (1800W), (for a Multiplus 3000) we can pull 3000W or 25A from the battery to run a load that is 40A (4800W)? I was thinking that the unit was limited to 3000W even with shore power. Does anyone have any experience with the Power Assist behavior on the Multiplus?

I really wish they would make a 48v multiplus ?
I never realized until now that they didn't

There are definitely some oddities with Victron's North American product lineup.

As @snoobler mentioned the Quattro is available in 48V and upto 10kW I believe (but the quattro has a hefty price premium over the multi). And the EU/Global version of the Multiplus and Multiplus II are available in 48v.

One weirdness of Victron's NA offerints. the Multiplus 3000 is the inverter/charger that has a UL 1741 or UL 458 rating. The Multiplus 2000 and Quattro do not advertise these certifications.

Yup. I have no need for multiple AC inputs and other stuff that jacks up the price on the Quattro.

Heck, I might even consider a 48v Phoenix with decent kVa output in a 120 or 240v 60 Hz flavor.

I have a 48v MP2 here in the Uk. 48/3000/35-32
Didn’t realise they’re not available in NA.

I think we probably get about 1/4 of the full Victron lineup this side of the Atlantic.

I think you are SOL with the phoenix too, unless you are willing to use an autotransformer or modify a 230V/50hz model to 60hz (I think that is not too difficult).

I suppose for every 230vac model they make for Europe they would need to make a 120vac for the US. Doubles their inventory.

Yes. Pull 15A*120V=1800W from shore and supplement it with up to 3000W from the inverter.
