Not sure where to put the negative wires, the battery charger wires connect to the batteries? Are you saying remove both negative wires from the charger to battery connection and move to the other side of shunt?

Im installing a 2000w inverter on my boat. I will be feeding a breaker on the boats 120v panel. I am concerned about back feeding the inverter when shore power is on. Should I put in a disconnect between the inverter and panel? Which type would recommend?

When purchasing a inverter/charger must it be specifically rated for marine use. My ultimate goal is to have a complete off grid solution so I do not have to run the generator.
