Anyone charging Ecoflow Delta with car cig lighter port?

I did NOT get a firmware upgrade. She had told me to try the new cable first, which I did and it seems to work fine without the upgrade. I didn't feel like shipping the whole Delta unit in and waiting to get it back. As for the difference in cables, I don't think you can tell the actual gauge...

Anyone charging Ecoflow Delta with car cig lighter port?

Hey, I'm less than a novice so I can certainly bear with you and let's both just hope that someone who IS good with electrical monitors this convo to help out. :) 1) No - someone else did that - I know nothing about that. I received a new, supposedly improved, cable from EcoFlow to replace...

    Dual-level solar panel roof rack?

Hi Boondock Saint! My "actuator" is an old 3-prong rake to extend my panels and some wire cables with carabiner clips to pull them back in and secure them to the storage box. :) See my comments and photos above (or below, or somewhere on this thread). I'm happy with the system but have to...

    Dual-level solar panel roof rack?

Yep - see the photos above. We used stainless steel drawer slides 150 lb rating (although I wish he'd gone with more). I just pull them out with an older little rake that I found at a used tool shed that I actually had bought a few months ago to help me pull the sewer valve lever from...

Anyone charging Ecoflow Delta with car cig lighter port?

Sounds like you're having some fun, in any case. I have been charging the EcoFlow Delta the past few days with the new cable they sent me using a 12v cig lighter style outlet that is powered through my house AGM batteries, no inverter needed, and it has been working fine. The amps are staying...

    Dual-level solar panel roof rack?

Hi.yes. The 4 panels are up and 2 with drawer slides work great. It is a "basic" setup, not fancy. I pull them out when parked and it adds 12-20 amps (*edited from 8-10 amps, I often get 16). Wire cables for pulling then back in and securing so they stay in. So far so good.

Anyone charging Ecoflow Delta with car cig lighter port?

So you did a system redo - that's what I'm doing. The 2006 Sprinter cargo van was originally built out in 2010-11 (I bought it in 2016) so the components are "old style." I didn't want to put $10k+ into this so I stayed with AGM but added 400 more watts to the roof and a BMS. The plug on the...

Anyone charging Ecoflow Delta with car cig lighter port?

I, too, thought how could I switch my SCC to the Delta from the house but instead I just use my 640 watts (mixed roof and portable) to charge house AGMs then use 110 (with inverter) to charge the Delta, early enough in day so the house batteries recharge for the rest of sunny part of day. I can...

    EcoFlow

UPDATE 10/22/21: EcoFlow has admitted that their cable is not good, well they didn't say that but they are sending me a newer, better one. Also, they are aware of the issue and have an upgrade for the firmware but I have to send it in (at their expense, at least). In the meantime, I had...

Need help Hooking up a Zamp Solar panel to a EcoFlow Delta

? Right. Correction, my Zamp panels are only 140 watts (70 each) and even though you can use their connectors to go to the Delta, which you do not have but I do, that reverse polarity thing is troublesome.

Need help Hooking up a Zamp Solar panel to a EcoFlow Delta

I'm glad you went with the AC200P. I'm limited with what I can lift (old back) so I had to settle for the Delta, plus I primarily use it in my Sprinter which is already crowded. I don't actually know if the Zamp has it's own controller. When I purchased the Zamp a few years ago, probably 2017...

Anyone charging Ecoflow Delta with car cig lighter port?

The EcoFlow Delta input port has written on it (as well as the spec sheet and the manual) not to exceed 10A. I don't think the Delta has a load that is bigger than that. Their cable for the car charger has a 15A fuse inside but they tell you not to use a charger that provides more than 10A. They...

Anyone charging Ecoflow Delta with car cig lighter port?

Okay - I wouldn't dare. It was just something someone somewhere wrote. :) So, reading through all this do you have any ideas for what we can do? I almost ordered this today, but am waiting to hear back from EcoFlow. "Valefod DC to DC High Efficiency Voltage Converter 8-36V to 12V 10A 120W...

Anyone charging Ecoflow Delta with car cig lighter port?

Not sure about the fuse swap... Today I spoke with a guy at www.circuitspecialists.com and he confirmed what I had been narrowing in on. A unit like this: https://www.amazon.com/Cllena-Automatic-Converter-Regulator-Waterproof/dp/B08KZPXK63/ref=psdc_10967761_t3_B07WFMG11F "Cllena DC 8V-40V to 12V...

    EcoFlow

Such a ridiculous design. What I do is charge the Delta through my camper house AGM batteries early in the day, using the inverter I plug into 110, and charge it for an hour or so, then my solar setup or my alternator charges the AGM. I use the Delta exclusively for 110 power needs (fridge...

    EcoFlow

I just plugged in the solar panel to see if I damaged the input for that port (xt60 65v 10A max). pulling 62 watts right now.

While we're talking...here's my van with the added solar panels (400 watt) with 2 that slide out from under while parked. Unless I forget to pull them in. ?

Okay, I got the fuse out..looks okay to me.

I don't even know how to look for a fuse on the cable..unscrew at the plug tip? The cig lighter still works to charge phone.

    EcoFlow

I'm using the cable that came with the Delta that has the lighter socket plug. I was just thinking to see if that cable's fuse (if there is one) blew. I've also tried a mini-inverter (smaller than the one HoboTech recommended in a YT video on the topic) and it drew nothing. I'll go check right now.

Need help Hooking up a Zamp Solar panel to a EcoFlow Delta

I'm glad you know that the Zamp is reverse polarity, I learned that when the plug broke and had to replace it. Your EcoFlow Delta's warranty would be voided (which you probably know). I'm not that happy with my Delta right now, so you might want to find a better unit. I also have a Zamp portable...

Anyone charging Ecoflow Delta with car cig lighter port?

Hi Magenta and Kevin...I want to jump in here (posted on Kevin's other post as well). I have a 2006 Dodge Sprinter conversion. I bought the Delta to supplement my 2 6volt 224AH AGMs. My boondocking system is that in the morning I charge the Delta from the house AGMs using the inverter and the...

    EcoFlow

Kevin - I am having a different type issue with My EcoFlow Delta and the cigarette lighter socket (car charger), maybe you can help. The Delta manual says it has a limit of 10A input from a car charger (in the specs it says 8A, in the manual and the customer service rep say 10A) and when I try...

1000+ Watts Solar on a Class B Campervan

I know your response here was a few months ago (where are we?) but I just thought I'd chime in because I am about to have a custom designed dual layer solar panel system installed on a rooftop deck on my hightop Sprinter van adding 400 watts, 30Amps of solar. Two will slide out to each side...

    Dual-level solar panel roof rack?

Wind is always a factor but looking at their (Orion Design's) engineering department and how they are coming at this I suspect they are solid! For my own use I will be putting them out only while I'm there during the daylight hours and would be able to retract as needed for windy weather. I'm 69...

    Dual-level solar panel roof rack?

I am working with Bogart Engineering (SF Bay Area, Calif) to transform a rooftop deck into two layers of panels, giving me 400 more watts on my 2006 Sprinter. The bottom layer only for when I'm stopped and they slide out to the sides. We'll see, but during the research I found...
