    small quiet generators

I messed around with my Honda generators yesterday. I was pumping out my hot tub at the time so I plugged the 1/3hp submersible pump and the dorm fridge into the EU1000i and it loaded it very little, not even to high idle. Then I took both the EU1000i and the EU2200i to my boat. I discharged...

    Victron 500 smart shunt

I use a Victron Smart Shunt on my sailboat. I can't say much about the BT range. My biggest complaint is that it drops the connection every time my phone screen times out. I really like the simplicity of the install. The price is not too bad (everything for a boat is expensive). The data is...

A little disappointed with my new Growatt SC48120-MPV charge controller.

Yes I am using it in a 24 volt system. I wonder if that has something to do with it. Maybe setting it to 50v will actually set it to 25v in my application.

A little disappointed with my new Growatt SC48120-MPV charge controller.

T Thanks for the video. When I clicked set it did nothing. I'll try again.

A little disappointed with my new Growatt SC48120-MPV charge controller.

Watts247 was going to try it and get back to me, but that hasn't happened.

A little disappointed with my new Growatt SC48120-MPV charge controller.

No luck. The software tool seems to connect with 485 protocol but clicking calibration does nothing.

A little disappointed with my new Growatt SC48120-MPV charge controller.

I haven't tried the software tool yet. I'll try to find the time tonight.

A little disappointed with my new Growatt SC48120-MPV charge controller.

Does anyone know where I can purchase the battery temperature sensor? I can't even find a part number.

A little disappointed with my new Growatt SC48120-MPV charge controller.

I contacted my vendor, Watts247, he quickly responded. The total blackout at night is normal. There is a software calibration tool so I should be able to correct the displayed voltage. Now I need to add more panels and batteries.

A little disappointed with my new Growatt SC48120-MPV charge controller.

Last night I went out to check on my system and discovered the SC48120-MPV completely dark, no backlight or LEDs. My AIOs and my Tracker were all normal. I pushed the on/off switch and the unit powered up. Is this normal? Does the unit go to sleep when there is no PV input? Also, the...

A little disappointed with my new Growatt SC48120-MPV charge controller.

And it doesn't come with the battery temperature sensor. I can't even find a part number for it.

A little disappointed with my new Growatt SC48120-MPV charge controller.

I just added a SC48120-MPV to my system. The voltage on the display is consistently 0.5 volts lower than my other 2 Growatt AIOs and my old Tracker charger controller and my Fluke meter. This currently isn't an issue because I only have 400 watts of panels connected to it but it is...

    small quiet generators

I'm sure the power factor does make a difference, I just don't have the data. I do have a PFC 30 amp charger on my boat, I'll try the EU1000i on it sometime and report back. I need to try the EU2200i with the AC too.

    small quiet generators

I posted this on a sailboat forum last year. Thought you might find it useful. Edit I noticed an error the EU2000i is really a EU2200i. I did a little testing with my generators today. I ran each out of fuel and then added 10oz of fuel. I then timed each generator running approximately a 700...

2600 Watts Seems Wrong – Expert Help Sought

Anytime my panels are producing more than half their rating I'm happy. I expect a normal maximum output of about 75% of the panel rating, I have seen this with many different panels. I currently have two Growatts and 12 * 365 watt panels. I currently have 22 AGM batteries, used take outs free...

    Craigslist score!

Nice. I found one like that on Tulsa CL about 2 years but I decided it wasn't right for me at the time. I sold my RV and don't need one on the boat, yet.

    Growatt 3000/24 issues

It took me about 3 weeks to get the situation resolved. It was very frustrating. Call them relentlessly. I think your gonna have to talk to James. Make sure you have your return label in your inbox before you let them off the phone. I think a few of the techs know a great deal about the...

    Growatt 3000/24 issues

Correct. The folks at SS didn't seem to have any concerns with the connected PV array. They sold it too me. I've never gotten close to 2000 watts from my array. I now have 2 growatts running in parallel. I only have 1000w of PV connected to the 2nd unit so far.

    Growatt 3000/24 issues

Here is a picture of my GW ID sticker. There may be a little confusion here. I'm happy with my GW now that the main board has been replaced, I even purchased a second unit. I am in the process of installing the second unit.

    Growatt 3000/24 issues

I'm currently using the default AGM settings. I have the AC charger limited to 2 amps so it doesn't actually charge the batteries overnight. I have the inverter set to come online at 27 volts and returned to commercial power at 24.8 volts. I don't want to discharge my old batteries very...

My batteries are AGM, used batteries I get from work. I don't have a picture of my settings but I have most of them memorized. What are you interested in?

    Growatt 3000/24 issues

Yes, the updates were in another thread that was deleted. SS finally agreed to send me return label but after another week I still didn't have it. I called them again, this time I just couldn't stay calm. They promptly emailed me a return label and I returned the unit the same day. They...

    39 year old flooded batteries

There must be another piece of equipment in the field that isn't backed-up. The DSL signal has a limited range so there is probably a piece of equipment in your neighborhood that has also lost power.

Signature Solar and shipping damage, are you a victim too?

Be persistent. It took me two weeks to finally get my return shipping label. It should have been two easy 5 minute conversations. I picked up my panels in person. They were on a pallet that looked to be made exactly for my panels, I was impressed with that.

    39 year old flooded batteries

Try to keep the temps below below 80f if possible. Heat kills lead acid batteries.
