It was not an inverter issue after all. It was the BMS. The BMS was cutting power from the battery. This would shut the entire system down. The big problem with the inverter is that it should be (In my opinion anyway) defaulting to the grid power instead of just a complete shutdown with an F52...

But it seems the inverters are not being overloaded so I don't think that option matters in my case.

Just now a surge kicked in. Lights flickered and I happened to have Solar Assistant in front of me. Sudden drop in PV power, battery dropped from charging +2000w to drawing -100w or more (no drop in voltage) and the Grid kicked on. Exactly what I'd expect to happen when battery and PV cannot...

I do have a separate breaker for each inverter. So it is in fact normal that a sudden loss of battery shuts the entire system down? Except the inverters remain on with the help of the grid.

I also can't rule out that this is Solar Assistant data which is in 10 second intervals. Even tho the data showed that slight difference when one inverter lost battery connection I think it's more probable that they actually lost at the same time.

My new thought now that it has happened a couple more times is the BMS is stopping output of the battery in heavy loads. Still not sure why yet. This is causing the F52 error on the inverters. The grid does kick in but only enough to keep the inverters on but they shutdown AC output. Seems to me...

I think it's 3 years if you don't use their batteries. But from my experience their main objective when helping me was to find a reason not to honor the warranty.

That option has always been disabled. I've been considering enabling it. The F52 shuts down the AC output even tho its still connected to the grid. If the battery is losing connection and causing the F52 then it wouldn't be as bad an issue if it just turns to grid and keeps AC output alive.

It appears that Inverter 2 lost battery connection first. Inverter 2 is the repaired unit that was causing F52 before repairs.

Checked the BMS and it is listed as a max continuous discharge of 200 amp and max of 350 amp. Plus no errors from the BMS that I've seen. Still seems more an inverter malfunction than anything else.

Info coming from Solar Assistant so it must not be the most accurate software. Check back 7 days and still said highest draw is 55-ish.

Checked the battery history. The highest amps draw was 50.

I don't believe that has ever happened.

The inverters do have the over-load shutdown feature so I wonder why it would Low Buss Voltage error instead of overload error if it were in fact an overload.

I found 2 answers online. One said 2900 surge the other said possibly between 3000 - 4000w. I do have 2 inverters running split so it should handle at least 6500 Watts each.

No alerts on BMS. Discharge at 150amps.

I do have Solar Assistant and WatchPower but I wouldn't know what to share. It's just a huge list of numbers. Interesting side note. Don't tell SS you use Solar Assistant. A few minutes after posting this an F52 error shut the system down. AC and microwave were running. Both running for a while so in-rush not an issue. Was looking at my phone which showed my load on system was 4800w at time of shutdown.
