    EG6000EX vs 6000XP

I would be curious to know if someone could help me with similar settings on a 6500ex. I have it now using battery communication and it will charge from the grid at 20% and stop at 25%. I would switch over to user settings but not sure how to get the same results with those settings. Thanks

    EG4 6000ex Discontinued?

I was told today that they oversold and discontinued the 6500ex. So at this point they do not know if they can fulfill my order for my second 6500ex.

EG4 6500ex and 6000ex flickering lights and firmware

I am with you, I just found out they also discontinued the 6500ex. I started with one last spring and ordered a second last week, sales told me they oversold and discontinued the 6500ex and they will let me know if my order was affected. I didn't know I bought into a short term solution. :(

Hedges, thank you for taking the time to put these articles together. I have skimmed a few and will read through them. Not pretending to understand most of what I am reading.

Safe Distance from Inverter / Chargers -

Thank you for the advice on the install. I believe the system has been installed correctly and I did have a review of the system by members of this forum as well as another installer. I do have the LL V2 and LL-S series batteries, and fire isn't a concern (any more than any other storage /...

Safe Distance from Inverter / Chargers -

Hi, What is the concern if any being near electrical equipment such as All in one inverters, batteries etc? I have been told and want to verify that it is not safe to be near such equipment. Is there any truth to this? Although in separate rooms our inverter, batteries and critical load panels...

    Conduit Size and Fill Recomendations

Hi I am looking for suggestions and tips with my conduit run as I will be moving my arrays to their permanent home and wiring. My runs are going to be ~125 underground, then another +/- ~100' along the base of the house (under the deck etc). From past recommendations we have settled on...

    Best Panel Config Help

Am I correct that a 10S1P configuration would be just over 11 Amps? I am not sure where th 28 Amps comes in. I have a lot to learn. Thanks again.

    Best Panel Config Help

What I said was: If I understand correctly I should stick with 10S1P for each MPPT and use 10 AWG wire? Thanks

    Best Panel Config Help

Here is the specifications - Are the numbers above Open Circuit or MPPT Voltage range - I suspect the latter. If so then the 10S1P maybe to close to the limits? Also thank you for the computation for temperature. That is really straight forward when you understand a working example. Thanks again.

    Best Panel Config Help

I have a EG4 - 6500EX and due to my Northern US and cloud condition I would like to over panel (safely) and reduce the cost of the wire run if possible. The estimated distance from the proposed panel location is just under 300'. I currently have 12 - SolarEver 410 watt panels and had originally...

IMO DC Disconnect Rooftop Isolator Switch wiring

I have one of these and yes the wires seem crossed, it is top left to bottom right and vise versa. I recommend that you check this with a multi-meter to verify yours is the same. Simple just do a continuity test.

Solar Panel Direction & Charge Control Question.

Thank you for that explanation, I think I can see that now, the top pipe simply rotates on the 3.5" pipe. That helps alot.

Solar Panel Direction & Charge Control Question.

The EG4-6500EX-48 has 2 individual MPPT trackers, its my understanding that the strings on each do not need to match. Here is a snippet of the specification sheet. Thank you

Solar Panel Direction & Charge Control Question.

I currently have a string of 10 - 410 watt panels facing solar south, I plan to add two more strings of 10 panels for 30 total panels. I have a single EG4-6500EX at the moment. I had originally planned to add a second one for additional load and PV inputs, as it looks over the last 3 months of...

    Temporary Sawhorse Solar Array

My temporary 12 panel array is setup with 3 panels on a easy fold able stand (adjustable for tilt) in December tilt of 75 deg now sitting at 50. It is made up of 3 - 10' 2x6's and 4 - 8' 2x8 and 2 - 8' 1x4's, 2 door hinges and some screws. The two 2x6 (Top & Bottom) are screwed together with two...

    EG4-6500 wireless - How to disable ????

If you are comfortable with a soldering iron you can remove the wireless module. It is in the main display soldered in with 4 pins. I do not know how this would effect your warranty but a person with moderate experience should be able to heat two pins at a time and lift one side, then heat the...

    EG4-6500EX-48 Issue

Thanks for that tip, I will remove the paper and let it be. I spoke too soon, we still have issues with the MPPT but so far only on cloudy or partially cloudy days, waiting for a full sun day to validate. In either case it doesn't seem as dramatic as before. We have the same firmware on this...

    EG4-6500EX-48 Issue

Well you may be correct there, I am holding to see if these hold up. I figured they all couldn't be this way (defects) or there would be a lot more issues posted here. If it keeps working the way it is, I like it. Maybe its a manufacturing flaw or QC issue somewhere I do not know. Does yours...

Update - I received the replacement 6500 just before the storm hit, will return the old unit as soon as we dig out :) I was going to wait a few more days before posting but figured I would do it now in hopes that all is good. Observations so far- Negative: The new inverters mounting flange...

    class A 48v & 12v

Do you travel with your RV? If so will you ever experience colder temperatures? I don't believe the EG4 batteries will work in sub freezing temperatures, this may not be an issue for you if you never travel to colder climates.
