Can I use the new B300S Bluetti battery pack with the AC300

The cable that comes in the box with the B300S is P150D on both sides, since that is the connector on both the B300S and the AC500 (150 Amp rating). The B300 and AC300 have the P090D connector (90 Amp).

Adding DIY battery to Bluetti AC300

It’s a beautiful thing isn’t it. On a good day I can make and store 10kWh with my 1600W of panels.

Small solar power station with automatic transfer?

The Bluetti products with selectable UPS modes will do this. I’m running part of my house on an AC300 right now in this way with it set to PV priority UPS mode.

Question re: solar power generators, solar charging and inverter draw

Most Bluetti products will wake up with solar input then power themselves off a bit after it goes away. Inverter is never on and consuming standby power unless you turn it on.

Adding DIY battery to Bluetti AC300

Yes, read post 4 of this thread. The AC300 NEEDS a B300 to talk to. The B300 and its BMS aren't an optional accessory, at least one attached is mandatory to have the AC300 work.

    How efficient is your generator?

Here is some math on Honda inverter generators I did some time ago based on Honda's run time claims at 1/4 and full load: The Honda EU7000 burns 5.1 gallons of gasoline in 6.5 hours at 5500 W to make 35.75 kWh at 7.00 kWh/gal (fuel injected!) The Honda EU6500 burns 4.5 gallons of gasoline in...

    Monitoring Bluetti Systems

I am not seeing this on mine. What edition of HA are you on? I'm running 'HA core' on a Pi.

I spent some time with HA today, following other threads on the topic and have mapped individual cell voltages for my B300's into HA. love it.

5-20p to L14-30R for Ecoflow Delta 2 Max

Reviews on that 5-20 to L14-30 adapter cord indicate that it doesn't power both the X and Y blades on the L14-30 side. you may want to take a multimeter and poke through your whole setup.

new to solar- panel array advice on bluetti ac300 pls

Three of those in series on each of the two MPPT inputs would be a good setup. 123Voc so some headroom for cold weather on the 150V input. 1110W nominal x2 = 2220W total. Yes you could overpanel by doing another three in parallel (for 3S2P) on one of both controller inputs. It wouldn't make...

    Monitoring Bluetti Systems

They are pretty responsive, I hope you see improved results. Forecast is neat when it works. Yesterday expected 9.3kWh, I got 2.5 due to clouds rolling the wrong way. Today is 9.7 and I need it!

    Monitoring Bluetti Systems

What is your indicated battery SOC? Mine throttles to AC output +~550W when it gets to 91%, even with the new firmware.

    Monitoring Bluetti Systems

Contact Bluetti support, there is a firmware update that helps. Big load changes still sort of upset the MPPT on mine and cause it to hunt around for a few seconds, but it doesn't throttle like that anymore.

Adding DIY battery to Bluetti AC300

No. Make sure the voltages match very closely, like +/- 0.2V. Be EXTREMELY careful, you are dealing with hundreds of amps of available current.

I have not sorted the difference in those. Something I have deciphered...I think on the AC300 that the internal power sensor 1 is Watts, and sensor 2 is VA.

New Bluetti AC300 learn how it works with me.

That's all the built in controllers on the head unit will take. You can however add solar to the B300 battery, it will take 200W directly connected, then up to 500W via a D050S Charge enhancer (external MPPT) connected to the AC adapter charge port. For up to 700W total input directly to each...

Adding DIY battery to Bluetti AC300

The AC300 does not know the external pack is there, there is no BMS/computer connection, only the power leads. It properly shows the B300 battery, which is same voltage and being augmented with the external in parallel, in theory they are all at the same charge level.

EB3A "Overload" When Used as Uninterruptible Power Supply

If it’s sat for a bit it may be out of pack balance. I’d just plug it in and leave it overnight until it stops taking power. Then discharge at low load, like 50-100W running a fan until it shuts off, plug back in overnight.

The new little Bluetti, the AC2A, does not exhibit these issues in UPS mode and is pretty solid. They have learned.

    CES 2024 Coverage

Agree. Every surface had a thick polished heavy lacquered look to it to me, was kind of strange seeming. I think the cooktop was induction at least. They probably scraped the label off something else and stuck their own on. I didn’t look too close at the name on it and did not notice that.

    CES 2024 Coverage

I walked through it too, super nice and polished, it certainly should be though for 100K. It had some really wide tires for a trailer, probably to avoid going to double axle. They said it had a 1kW array on the roof.
