100 year Lithium battery

A team at Dalhousie University with Jeff Dahn have identified modified NMC Li battery that can last 100 years and beat LiFePO4 in both efficiency, longevity and energy density. Full paper here:

Thanks for your sharing. But it is just preliminary research. With current technology, safety and energy density are always at odds, so just smile.

I have an example. I don’t know if you have heard of aluminum-ion batteries. A few years ago, many people advocated the super performance of aluminum-ion batteries, but no one has discussed it now. You may learn something from it.

Sure, but this is Jeff Dahn's team the godfather of Li battery research so when they post a paper promising breakthrough improvement in battery performance it's pretty big.
