I'm looking to switch out a 12v receptacle for a 24v MC4 port system using a buck converter. I have an Ecoflow River Pro Max that can handle 24v 12amps 200watts input when using the XC60i cord (which is 100 watts more than the standard 12v car charger).
My question is about the wiring gauge for my buck converter. I'm going to be using this one which has plenty of headed room since it can do up to 25amps https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08FF339H9/?coliid=I33EL15RGA6ZL1&colid=2GMK5P2OX47RI. I was a little nervous about heat but I think if the Ecoflow is only pulling 12amps max then I should be ok.
Should I be using 10AWG or 8AWG from my battery?
