Can someone help me to understand this? This EG4 diagram says I need a 2 pole disconnect between my main panel and inverter.
So cant I just shut off the connection either through the 70 amp breaker in the main panel, or I can just do the inverter shutdown? Why do I need a switch between them? And if I do, what size do I need? 200a switches are over a $1000 and thats absurd. Having to pay for a new transformer that I wont own is already screwing my budget.

I also have a 200a switch at my meter, and on the main panel.

thanks!

The requirement is for firefighters.
If you're 70a breaker in the main panel is outside. Then you have it covered. If not, then you need a 100a disconnect.
Almost seems redundant with the way anti islanding works.

Pop the meter and hit the RSD. Unless I'm missing something.

My main panel and inverter is inside in the basement.
So I need to run from the panel to an outside 100a switch, and then back inside to the inverter?
