VOC of SCC is 145.

So... 3s2p = 2220w (220w over max 2000 of PV input but I'm not concerned about that.
3s2p 116v and 19.04a
VOC of SCC is 145 and VOC of 3 panels is 144.36. ??

So, do I ...
- get within .64 of VOC limit and risk it?
- go 2s3p and hit 2220w, 80v and 30a?
- get slightly lower rated panels so that I can hit a lower VOC in 3s2p to keep volts high and amps low?

SCC is either MPP 2424 or Growatt 3000. Same VOC.

I would not use the configuration that gets you so close to the solar charge controller's voltage limit. 2s3p is safer for the solar charge controller. But there's something about that 30 amp number that raises a yellow flag for me.

@Batterypack Did you ever make a decision on this? I'm considering upgrading my system from 2S2P to either 2S3P or 3S2P and had some similar concerns. In my case, the LV2424 can handle 145 V, but I've been advised to not get too close to that. My panels are 240 W, 35 VOC, 8 A (Isc). For 3S2P, 100 V is low enough that I should be fine WRT the MPP, and this would give me about 16 A (using 10 gauge solar wire). If I go with the alternate configuration (2S3P), I'm down around 65 V but the current would be close to 25 A. This feels like too close to max wire specs.

What other benefits do either of these configurations offer?
