Can I use this switch as a simple "disconnect" between the PV panels and the SCC. Yes, the fuses are missing but I was going to put some sort of conductive metal where they'd be. When turning this switch off, the contacts move really fast. The panels are already fused at the combiner box at the array.

Presently, I have a 200a battery switch located just before the SCC on the + line.

The panels could put out a maximum of 80vdc and 20amps (those figures have never been reached yet- the most I've had is 72v and 20a or so)

What do you think?

I'm curious- what's the difference between the battery switch being used and the switch in the photos?
If it's a arcing problem I'd expect the "turned by hand" battery switch would produce a sizeable arc.
The pictured switch disconnects so fast- a lot faster than I can turn the battery switch.
