I am working on a offgrid solution for my cabin and an electrician offered me this old stock inverter, Alpha Solaris 3500XP.

I was wondering if anyone here still uses it and could shed some light or give some feedback.

Currently my setup consists of:
- 12kW Propane Generator
- 2,500 Watts Peak Load
- 4.18 kWh/Day energy usage

My plan is to add a 48V Battery string and eventually a 900W PV panels.

I was wondering if an older inverter (2006 model) for $1,500 is a good deal. Allegedly this inverter was state-of-art back in the days.

Here is the cutsheet for this inverter, attached to this post, in case someone not familiar with this specific unit could still read the specs and give me their feedback.

And to clarify: the electrical engineer started the sale discussion at $1,500 for the unit. It has a NEMA 3R enclosure, which for me it has value as I am considering mounting this outside the cabin on a concrete pad.
