Massive spending bill looks to pass, anyone have details on solar incentives?
30% ITC kicks in when?
Might be worth delaying my system commissioning if it's not until next year..

Here is the Full text when you bored:

Only 760 pages of legal language and about 41 pages about the solar credit.

In a nutshell:
The bill calls for a 10-year extension at 30% of the cost of the installed equipment, which will then step down to 26% in 2033 and 22% in 2034.

The tax credit applies to residential adopters of solar technology. If the bill is passed, the 30% credit will be retroactively applied to anyone who installed their system since the beginning of 2022.

It likely applies like the old one for everything within the installation process. So Labor, permits, material, batteries. But I don't think local sales tax.

Like with every bill, there might be last minute changes before it gets law. So don't go out and buy your stuff just yet. Because random guy on the internet said so.

IRS usually doesn't care much about "Commissioning" they look at the date of the receipts of the purchases. If you choose to only apply them the year after - that's fine.
