I am having a really difficult time finding a good size ring terminal for the 22 awg balance leads that is able to sit flush with the studs on my ¼ battery terminals. The problem is there isn’t enough distance between the ring and the heat shrink for the stud to sit flush.

I reached out to Overkill Solar support to see their recommendation and here is the two solutions that came up.

Solution 1 - Use washers as a spacer between the balance lead and the nut on the stud so that it can sit flush.

Solution 2 - They found these long neck ring terminals which would work, the problem is they are a fortune. There is no way I'm going to buy over 32 of these to accommodate 2 16s BMS's.

What ring terminals is everyone else using to connect their balance leads to the cells?
I am using raw Grade A LiFEPo4 cells and the 16s Overkill Solar BMS on 1/4'' studs.

I would appreciate any suggestions for this.

Thanks!

Right or wrong for my BMS units I strip the wire 2 times as long as I need and fold it over so it fits and crimps tight in the ring terminals I have.
