Newbie Question here....

If I take two same brand LiFePO4 batteries and connect them in parrallel am I correct in understanding I am essential making one larger battery out of two batteries?

See my answer in your other thread.

Copied my post:
If you connect your load across the entire string. If, for instance, you have 2 12V in series, the result would be a 24V battery. If you want to keep the voltage the same but increase the capacity they would need to be in parallel.

Read the Mfg documents closely some limit or do no allow series or parallel connectivity.

Yes

x2 100ah batteries in parallel is equivalent in storage for 1 200ah battery.

Now there is ways of screwing this up with battery connections such that the batteries can become “uneven” in charge and you might actually only get 180ah out of the bank.

Also if you are putting batteries in parallel for more peak current capacity, then intercell connections play a much larger roll.
