I am trying to build a lifepo4 battery pack out of these 60280 55ah cells I have 16 in 4s4p 12.8v (12v) 220ah. I am trying to usea single RadioB Tech Smart BMS 12V 200amp. I the android app is reading pack voltage as 6 something. If I use my multiple meter on the balance connect I am reading 12 9 6 3. Am I doing something wrong? Or do these need calibration. Am I safe to connect to a charger.

Verify the sensor leads are connected to the correct cells?
I did not have much to go on other then the picture diagram showed first wire red going to positive out on cell 4 then the next wire to cell 3 cell 2 cell 1 and black to negitive.

Off the top of my head that seems backwards but I could be wrong so don't go and change anything until someone else verifies it.

Edit: in hindsight that seems right, but you just stated it in a different order than I'm used to seeing. Again wait for verification from another user.

Can you post a photo of the instructions?

This is all I have. Thank you for helping me. I know it's not ideal to balance 4 cells just trying to get this going because me amgs are at the end of there life.

Yeah that seems straightforward.

Did you top balance the cells?
I don't know enough about that app or bms to say whether should attempt to calibrate the cell voltages via multimeter.

It's possible you aren't getting a good voltage reading/connection to the board through the wires themselves too, but probing the pins on the board takes a steady hand.

Thanks for the tip about the board. I was able to get the unlocked version of the software and it was not reading cell 3 voltage. I replaced the connector. And everything is working great.
