Charge Controller Troubleshooting - Overcharging

Hi, I’ve been using a Wanderer 30A-Li CC for a month now with success.

Yesterday the battery light began fast flashing, indicating “battery overcharged”.

However when I take a reading at the battery terminals with a volt meter it reads “12.5V” which seems a safe figure to find, and doesn’t square with it being overcharged.

I’m wondering if I may have a fault in the charge reader, and how to troubleshoot from here?
Thanks.

How do you have the solar panels wired? Series or parallel? That solar charge controller has Max PV Input Voltage of 25 volts.

Manual also says this :

Battery is over-voltage

Use a multi-meter to check the voltage of the battery. Make
sure the battery voltage is not exceeding the rated specification
of the charge controller. Disconnect battery

Make sure to disconnect the panels first before disconnecting the battery unless you are doing that at night time.
