China VIP BMS with heater

Does anyone have any experience with the VIP BMS with internal heaters? I ended up tearing mine apart because I was having charging issues and found that when I put the low temp sensors in ice water it does shut the charge current off, but it doesn’t heat the heating elements and makes the charger think the battery is full, therefore stopping current flow from the charger rather than sending current to the heaters.0

Does anyone have schematics for the 12v VIP BMS? I feel like something on the pcb is bad, but I don’t know where to start.

I circled where the heaters are connected to. They have constant 12v, but never get warm.

Not seeing schematics either, but the manual for the BLE module has this contact info:

Dongguan Weimel Guanze Electronic Technology Co., LTD
PM & Technical Services: Chen Suhong
Tel number: 13530804419
E-mail: RD02@vip-bms.com

FWIW! R&D should have answers. I was looking for a way to debug these wirelessly so maybe the next fellow doesn’t need to hack theirs open for simple diagnostics.

I’m sad for your problems, hopefully the two I ordered won’t do this, but grateful for you uploading these images in the event I also have issues down the road. Would you be interested and able to show some more detailed pictures of the unit? Help verify what batteries / components are inside?

I’m having heater trouble in my batteries as well with the VIP bms. There needs to be a separate control in the app that turns the heater on or off. At this point I’m not sure if it’s the bms or the heater or maybe a bad connection. I’m unable to charge the battery in cold weather because it won’t warm the battery enough (+10c) to release it from the under temperature warning. Guess I’ll have to wait till the weather warms up.

I opened mine up yesterday because i am have the bms read as a 3 string and not four so my battery voltage is around 10. Its the same vip bms.

Where did u order them from?

I ordered my batteries from RJ lithium. I don’t recommend them. When I asked about the heater issues I’m having they ghosted me. There’s no warranty and you have no recourse ordering from China. I wish that wasn’t the case.
