I recently took delivery of a sea eagle tandem inflatable kayak. Its got a good weight capacity, so we are considering doing a couple multiday outings on larger lakes.
I am considering putting a ~300W motor on it. I would never exceed 100W continuous though.
Any suggestions on cells for a 24V battery pack (might do 12V, but depends on motor availability)? Looking for 600-1200Whr. Light weight is important, but not super critical (otherwise I wouldn't be using LFP). I am flexible on pack dimensions, up to 18" long should be tolerable.
My plan is to find a cheaper trolling motor or similar, and build a frame to strap it to the rear of the kayak. Then a set of cables would be used for steering.
