Converting 24v Growatt to 12v battery bank?

I'm putting together a second solar array. Can someone tell me if I've got the right idea for step down?

Can a Victron Energy Orion IP20 24/12v *70A* DC converter safely step down a Growatt 24V 3000W Split Phase Solar Inverter Growatt with 80A MPPT
(into 2x 170Ah Renogy *12v*) LifeP04's?

I'm hoping to safely use all 340Ah of power for the refrigerator (recharinging the bank at night when energy is cheaper from the mains if needed).

Or am I stuck having to wire my 2x batteries into a 24v 270aH configuration?

Do not run the inverter through a DC/DC converter. Wire the batteries in 24v configuration to suit the inverter. Wiring them as 12 volts doesn't magically give the batteries more capacity. 340ah at 12volts and 170ah at 24 volts are the same capacity. 340 X 12 = 4080 kWh. 170 X 24 = 4080 kWh
