I have a new Xantrex freedom XC 2000, second one with the same issue that is randomly shutting down without any error code or user cause such as under/over voltage, over amps, etc. This happens when in use or middle of the night and randomly without any known variable and all breakers are still on when I turn the inverter back on. I’ve narrowed it down to a possible brief DC line disconnect as the inverter shuts down when the main breaker is switched off and shows no error code.

What I’m needing help with is a device I can connect to the DC 12 volt at the connection to the inverter that will either shut off and stay off or show a logged disconnect if the DC has a brief interrupt helping determine if the main breaker is bad or a shunt, etc. is causing the interrupt. I tried connecting a 12V clock and it saves the time when disconnected, something simple and cheap like my clock idea is what I’m hoping for.

Thanks for your ideas, Jerry
