The new “MPPT multi-point scanning” option interests me a lot.

I'm going to upgrade my inverter to test this.

This brings me to a possible correction of the shading problems see the subject below:

I checked. This option does not work for me.
I highlight a checker. I save the settings.
I am looking at the settings - the option is self-turned off (is not stored).

This interest me as well.

However, has anyone successfuly requested a firmware files from Deye? I have some offline installations.

I have tried it and it worked, stayed enabled etc. But it resulted in inverter faults (F20/F24) and strange behaviour so I disabled again.
The first curve shows normal PV output on a clear day, second shows how it behaves with "MPPT Multi-Point Scanning" enabled. Small dips in production all day, and occasional faults resulting in PV shutting off for a minute or two.

Also, check this out https://github.com/dasrecht/deye-firmware if you are after firmware and don't want to ask Deye for it.

I've tried the MPPT Multi Point Scanning as well. I think it is working as intended. I saw some dips every 30mins, and this interval is confirmed by a technical staff from Deye.

I asked them if this is better enabled or not, and they recommend this be enabled regardless of shading problem or not. But I have my reservation. I think its not worth it due to some inefficiency. Its not that it dips for a minute, it just happen for a few seconds, but a dip is a dip, versus no dip. After the dip, I see no significant increase in power. Unless they gave us option to set the interval, it may be worth it to fine tune the system.

By the way, I use solar assistant, so I can see the graph more refined and real time.
