Since SignatureSolar should now be amply aware if this issue, they should inspect every unit before shipping, but more importantly either ask Voltronic to change this mounting system to use screws, with nuts spot welded inside the box, and until that time, repair existing stock, prior to shipping and making sure no loose metal is inside the box.

We have replacement brackets on this batch for those affected, alternate mounting credits and exchange on the table here, once fooled and this will be under control though.

Just opened mine and discovered it completely detached as well. I originally ordered the 6000EX-48 back in Sept 2022 and due to personal injury I didn't get around to opening/inspecting it until today 5-11-23. Sent photos/info to Signature Solar as they requested. Waiting to see what they recommend.
Very hard to believe a bracket with 4 small pop rivets would be trusted to hang a 79 pound chassis! I intend to additionally mount angle iron below for it to rest on as well.
Anyone else done something similar?

Just received the new (improved and far superior) EG4 6000 hanging bracket. It bolts onto the TOP of the unit rather than the REAR of the unit. It uses the same holes as the included handles, and the chassis actually has threaded inserts in those four locations, so no nuts needed.
Yes, my rivets were also inside the chassis when it arrived. Called SS and got permission to open the unit and attempt to locate/remove them. I found three of them. No amount of tapping and flipping helped locate the 4th rivet.
Good to see they're supplying a better bracket. Hopefully they'll be included with all new units to start with.
