Epever Tracer Terminal for PV positive wire connection stuck in closed position

Hi,

Wondering if anyone has ever run across this before and how you fixed if you have. When you try to loosen the screw it spins but the opening will not open. Almost like the screw is broken but it won’t come out. My unit is out of warranty. See image.

I'd remove the cover for closer inspection. There may be an errant copper strand or two jamming it.

Thanks. I took the cover off but unfortunately I don’t have any better visibility or accessibility since the terminal connector is self contained. May have to remove the terminal connector and solder a new one on. Little nervous about that though. Not great at soldering. Don’t really know anyone that is.

Sounds like the screw threads got stripped at install, if you have any access to the screw end you can sometimes push on the end while unscrewing and the thread will catch. If that doesnt work then it sounds like a soldering job.
