Exceeding the 145 volt dc limit on a LV5048

Being a newcomer to solar we purchased 6 RNG-300G 24 volt Renogy panels to make up our array. We also purchased two MPP LV5048 units. After doing a lot of reading we discovered that the controllers are rated for a maximum PV Array of 145 volts DC.
Vmp of panels 32.25 volts. Voc 39.82 volts.
Any way it figures out to 80.95 volts when it's the coldest per 2 panels in series.
It seems we have the cart before the horse.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I called Amazon and they said we could send the panels back. Low and behold when the panels showed up they were smashed to bits. That's pure luck.
Looking for panels that will not exceed the 145 volts and of course not smashed this time.
Thanks in advance.

where is the problem. you can make an array to be under 145V ? 2 or 3 in serie still ok

MPPT operating range is 60 - 110VDC. 3 panels in series will push the DC voltage to 120V.

if it says panel can go up to 145v it means it can manage that.
anyway, mounting two serial ,3 parallel give you 80V, what is wrong with that ?

There are 2 separate requirements. One on Voc (145v) and one on MPPT operating voltage (60-110v).

i do not know what really means MPPT range.
is this related to an input or output ?
input and output should be the only concern for user, since these are the only places where you can go wrong.
you do not really want to know what happens in side such box, i doubt they allow to input 145v of PV if the device cannot support it.
Best is to ask to the support desk for this product.
but again, if you have doubt, 2 panels in serie is 80V.

Yes, (lower) 32.25 volts and (higher) 39.82 volts
The attached picture is from the LV5048 manual

it is related to pv input.i have been putting 105 volts using panels in series on a 10 AWG 60 foot cable.seems to be happy.
gonna ad more panels in a couple weeks.
this is great fun.

3 panels in series does not exceed the 145Voc limit. 3 panels in series is also perfect for MPPT range 32.5Vmp x 3= 97.5v
You could run up to 4 sets of 3 panels into each half of your LV5048. 24 panels total for each LV5048
