I'm reading the manual for JA solar Panel. The manual mentions this line "When Modules are mounted on rooftops, the roof must have a fire resistant covering suitable for this application". Im adding a 14 ft by 8 ft gazebo and using the PV panels for the roof.
Do you guys generally add a fire resistant covering ?

All my roofs have metal as top material. Tiles would be fire proof too.

If you got a fire and environmental hazard like shingles, you might look into the spec sheet about their rating. Not all Asphalt shingles are fire rated.

Do you even use any roofing substrate under you gazebo? When you don't have a deck and just rafters - that would be fine. Thick wood beams have a pretty good fire rating.
