G'day all, I have 2× 250w 12 v , 13.4amp panels but only have a 20amp dc-dc charger with a built in mppt charge controller, what (if anything) can I do to complete building my system?
Going to 2× 100wh lifepo4 batteries
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated

G'day all
Welcome.

250w 12 v , 13.4amp panels
That doesn't add up. Sounds more like 160 W panels.

That depends on what is it being used for. Have you done a load assessment / energy audit?

What are the MPPT input specifications, and is it suitable for charging the batteries you are choosing?

Voltage?

G'day mate,
Thanks for the reply, much appreciated.
I'm just reading what's on the panels and charger, have attached a couple of pics, a bit more explanation.
Am using my camping system as a backup for a couple of things at home, had 5 day power outage due to storms last year and I use my fold out 300w solar blanket to run some lights, 80lt camp fridge and charge my battery tools, so I thought why let the batteries sit there with no use for months when I can still use them to run the outside bar fridge and charge my tools, so I just grabbed another 12v battery and a couple of panels, had most of the other stuff already.
Once I get it all sorted I will probably increase the system to reduce our skyrocketing power bill!!!

Anyway thanks again for the help
Cheers
Luke
