We have a 4000 watt solar system with 48 volt battery back up and a 22KW back up generator. Radian GS4048 with Mate3 control module and Genrac. System works as designed and planned. Power failure, small parts of the house is run by battery back through a sub panel. When battery back gets low, the generator, is started from the MAte3 controller automatically, and the whole house is back to hot. It has been so hot, I do not want to wait until the battery bank is low, but go ahead and trigger the gen start on demand at least for a couple of hours to keep house cool. What I would like to do, is start the generator from the control panel instead of waiting for the battery level to trigger the generator to start and charge batteries.
Is anyone familiar with the Mate3 controller and how to, on demand start the generator?
