GENERATOR PORTABLE

I WAS UNDER THE IMPRESSION THAT PORTABLE GENERATORS DID NOT HAVE THE ABILITY TO BECOME auto STARTED BY A CHARGE- INVERT. I am referring to the auto start function in charge converters that trigger whole house generators when the battery is low or the house power shuts off. Yet, somebody has the same generator as mine and made reference to auto-starting when needed to back up a battery gone low or house power gone off the Maine. I know the charge inverters have an area that is assigned to hooking up a generator but thought the generator needed to have a special built-in device or software only whole-house generators have. Could somebody correct my thoughts on this topic? Thank you and stay healthy and warm.

I think any generator with a starter/battery can be "auto" started.

Many cheap generators have remote start.

Auto start is remote start on steroids. With auto start, you need logic to handle failed starts, or you will burn out the starter.
