Ive converted a couple golf carts and a riding mower so far..I have a golf cart with a pretty large battery compartment. It currently has 6x 8v lead acid.
An idea I am pondering is replacing the exiting batteries with a DIY 320AH 48v Lifepo4 battery pack, and making it accessible as the battery source for a home backup inverter (similar to the F150 Lighting concept)
Has anybody done something like this?

On my 93 yamaha g8 it was originally a 36v cart. I converted it to a 48v lifepo4 pack and installed a 355 solar panel as the roof panel which allows me to never have to put it on a charger.. It charges the pack with up to 7amps in the sun. The lowest ive ever run the pack down was 41% and it was fully charged the next sunny day so.
I only used 86ah catl cells but even with that my estimated range is like 30 miles so unless yours is mainly going to be used for the inverter the huge ah cells your considering are overkill.
I use the 300amp continuous /600amp peak JBD BMS which uses a 500a rated relay actually designed for EV use.
I also used 200amp Jk bms in a smaller 36v build with 74ah cells for my inlaws.
Im currently building 2 72v 64ah packs to use in parallel in the G8 mainly for fun since I can increase the speed to close to 30mph this way and I got the nmc samsung/bmw and fiat 500e packs cheap on the hookup. Ive read the 36v motor can handle this with no issues if not abused.
I have experimented with different mppt boost charge controllers and am using a different one than pictured below now. The lithium batteries are vastly superior in performance to lead acid because they have a flat discharge curve and dont suffer from the peukart effect.
most use the 200a jk bms with 2a active balancing or the jbd like I mentioned above but there are a lot of ANT and daly bms packs out there with a high failure rate like the now defunct"extreme team" used to sell.
Last pic was the cart As I bought it for $700 last fall.
