Growatt charging algorithms

I have an SPH3600 hybrid inverter, and a BLI6532 6.5kWh battery. I need to understand what the inverter does if the battery is not fully charged, and the solar array is generating less than 3kW. In this circumstance can it take what the solar array is generating, plus the remainder from the grid so that it can charge the battery at the full rate? Or does it just use what if can from the solar array, and thus not charge the battery as fast as it could potentially be charged? Or does it take the full 3kW from the grid to charge the battery and waste what the array could be generating? Or something else?
