My Growatt 48V SPF 3000 will not power up on utility power unless the battery voltage is above its low limit. I have utility set as priority one and would expect it to switch to utility and charge the battery when it's voltage is low. Does anyone know why and what settings may overcome this issue?

You have to have enough battery voltage for your unit to operate. There are some of these AIO's that can operate without battery but yours is not one of them. In order to preserve sufficient battery voltage you must set the transfer to utility at a high enough level that you maintain some battery capacity. If for some reason there is no utility or PV to charge battery the AIO will eventually drain it.

Thank you for the response. I will make some adjustments and see if acts as I expect.

One more question. Does the inverter need to be powered on for the switch to utility power to happen?
