Hello all, I am hoping someone can help please. I moved into a house with solar panel panels (1200 watt) so I purchased battery storage with inverter panel. I am fairly techy so have set it up myself. The inverter isn’t showing the battery symbol, should it ?

I set the inverter to lead acid, connected battery to ntc.

it also shows no battery on the shinelink.

And the area code isn’t listed for the uk for the dip switch settings ?

Growatt sph6000 and growatt 5kw battery.

Any ideas please ?

Just guessing...

To show battery data, there must be communication between battery and inverter.

I can see two issues why you don't have battery communication:
  1. NTC is likely a temperature sensing connection. CAN and RS485 are usually used for battery communications.
  2. You have a lithium ion battery, so I can't understand why you would set it for lead acid. The inverter likely needs to be set to "lithium" to enable communication when you have connected it correctly.
Good luck!

Thank you ! Appreciate your time to reply.
I a not sure why I thought I had a lead acid battery.

What is the dip switch for uk please ?

I have programmed for lithium now but I got no comms - any ideas please ?

Battery cable needs to be in can you may also find the cable may need to go a particular way around
