Just wanted to say my hello incase my venture into Off-Grid living goes screwy. I turned 34 on the 22nd and decided I needed land. Bought 5 acres(and attempted to buy the neighboring 5 but got outbid) in California at a steal because the land has never been developed( or looked at too closely) and is within pissing distance of an extinct volcano.
My initial plan was to tie into the grid via the power lines a mile away but upon inspecting my new parcel of land i found several fossils just laying on the surface. My new plan is to remain offgrid with minimal impact to the land under me for the time being till i decide what to do about the possibility of finding more fossils where ever I break ground. This has reinvigorated my interest in solar and wind. I've always leanded towards it as an interest but my inability to comprehend the math behind a properly rigged system has kept me looking in from the outside via youtube.
Anyway, any and all help is appreciated. As a person on the spectrum, any helpful input will be more appreciated then you will ever understand.
