Just received 8 280ah cells and one of them has an air pocket. Should I Worry about it? Is that a sign of
cell being defective? Have not tested it yet.

Thanks

Probably just an air pocket under the vinyl but a sure way to find out it would be to puncture it see if any liquid comes out or if you have any breach of your aluminum container. If you do see liquid, then send it back if you don’t then it’s probably OK but you need to make sure that the aluminum is covered up because it’s part of the cells electrical path.

That's just an air bubble between the aluminum case and vinyl covering. I'd poke it with a pin and work it out. The cell is fine.

As suggested, I just poked the air pocket with a pin, it is now gone. Indeed air is just under the plastic.
First time purchasing cells...thanks all for replying.

I would put tape over the pinhole to make sure the underlying aluminum case never touches anything negative, because the aluminum case is positively charged.
