Frank in Thailand
making mistakes so you don't have to...
As English forum, your Google translate might show everything in German.
For the non German speaking people on the forum:
I thought you were German ?
Only have 6 panels and the open circuit voltage is about over 40v
Revo starts working from as little as 120v and up to 450v max.
It worked and then I tried to pair with Victron Multiplus in parallel and since then Revo Inventory doesn't want PV anymore
6 panels, 216v. As it starts from 120v, not a big problem.
Victron Multiplus.
In parallel...
Oeps...
You are aware that 50hz (or 60hz) AC isn't synchronized??
That's why there are parallel kits for the Revo units? To let them talk to eachother?
One is master and "gives the beat" the other(s) are slave and follow that lead.
You probably are lucky you didn't fry both inverters totally.
How is the Victron?
Still working?
And the inverter part of the Revo?
I hope still working also.
I see 3 different solutions:
(If both inverters are still working)
1. Buy SmartSolar MPPT 250/70 or 250/100 (about €750)
And use both Inverters as just inverters, no parallel (!!)
2. Buy new Revo (also about €750) and parallel with the older unit.
Use this MPPT.
3. Try to fix the defective unit.
It was "abused" in almost the most horrible way.
I don't think the MPPT is fried.
The AC got a "beating"
Probably the AC to 48v board
(I guess your inverter has similar)
Or worse... The whole mainboard.
I have some (used) spare parts (long Story) better ask Sorotec first.
Transport from Thailand is about €35 -50 depending on method
Alternative (cheapest solution) is wire the panels as 2x3, and buy PowMr MPPT.
Amazing quality for amazingly low price.
Only their fan makes horrible noise.
(AliExpress is your friend)
That way it's "fixed" for about €75-100.
Parallel 2 different brands of inverters is a "no go"....
One of the first Revo II didn't have sensor, and accently 2 master setting made a whole lot of magic smoke....
(So I have some spare parts)
As I was the first, and Sorotec found it was partly their mistake to make this error possible, I received replacement parts.
Still paid a few hundred $$ for import fees... That's Thailand
