multiple solar arrays and CT Clamps (what's required)

Hi,

I had two solar arrays installed last week and in not sure about a few things, my installer is unconcerned.

We have a HICONICS hybrid inverter/battery system in the house, it's connected to the fuseboard with its own MCB, there is also a CT clamp going from the inverter to the incoming power tail on the smart meter.

We also have a Growatt string inverter In an outbuilding, it's connected to the fuseboard via the original main power cable that supplied the out building originally (it still does supply the. Mains to the building). However what I am confused about is the fact there is no CT clamp connected to the meter at the house.

Also we are seeing a constant draw on the IHD of between 80-120w even when running 100% on solar and/or battery. This is consuming around 2.4kw/h a day and I don't think this is right.

Please can someone advise, I am at a loss as my installer is just acting dumb and saying everything is as it should be.

Kind regards,

Derick

You might should post a diagram. At first I thought of the two quoted statements as meaning two things, but then I realized there’s a couple of other variables and unknowns about grid export to begin with.

I’m noooo expert on what you are doing - regardless, I think most need to see a drawing to save on fifty questions.
