How to turn on an active balancer at a voltage of 54.4

Hi guys,

I just want a simple answer. I have an active balancer that has the run leads soldered. I want to solder those leads apart and put them to a relay or a switch or something so that it turns on when the voltage of my 48v pack reaches 54.4. When it does, it will turn on the balancer and start balancing.

This might work. Set the "Undervoltage" at 54.4v

Thats what I was thinking, but I read elsewhere that it heats up, should it be in it's own DIN box?

What heats up? Can't hurt to be in its own box.
