So I think this was discussed to some extent but
A. Can’t find it and
B. Don’t know if it was specific to my bms

So I have a JBD SP20S020A for 16s lifepo4 battery. I want to use this on a 13s lithium ion battery and need to change the balance wiring. I attached pics of the BMS. Can anyone help me with wiring diagram (as I said I think someone already sent this) - could you send it again if so.
In its current form, the jst connection ports are set for 16s lifepo4 battery, with bc8-9, bc13-14, and bc17-19 soldered together.. which pins do I need to solder together for this to be used for a 13s battery? I can change the settings to lithium ion in the BMS settings.
Thx in advance for any help.

In most cases, the model of BMS must explicitly permit a variable number of cells. Often referred to as a "universal" BMS. Example:

Ok thx. Don’t think this one is universal. ?‍♂️

The chemistry of the battery matters also. If your Li-Ion cells want a different charge profile than LFP, you probably want a different BMS.

To answer your question though, I don't think you will hurt the BMS by trying a few tests. You might start by tying BC10 to BC8-9, BC12 to BC13-14, and BC16 to BC17-19. You could save some soldering by just tying the wires together at the cells, then solder after you find something that works.
