Can I use a JBD SMART BMS SP17S005 Li-Ion version on 16S 32700 LiFePo4 cells ?, This is a Follow up question from my previous post since there are two versions which is JBD SMART BMS SP17S005 Li-Ion and JBD SMART BMS SP17S005 LiFePo4 which is kind of weird since SMART BMS are supposed to be configurable and should not distinguish between Li-Ion and LiFePo4

Did you confirm in the settings that the options for range are the same? If so, it might be for marketing. Some people feel more comfortable if it says the right battery type. Maybe defaults are different.

haven't checked the range yet since it is still on the way. I noticed that there are two versions a few days after i already ordered the BMS, i will get it next week and hopefully, i would have the time to assemble it.
