JDB BMS not balancing? Battery has reset on occasion.

I'll have one cell rise above that while the others are low, and the BMS goes into overvolt shutdown. I was hoping the balancer would prevent that. It won't. The seller has been absolutely worthless but no point in returning after all the work I did to install. I think I'll just keep my charge limit and float charge low, since accessing the battery is a real pain. At the least, it helps the BMS balance things quicker when it does shutdown.

The balancer will not stop the shutdown but it will help balance the cells faster than the bms' built in passive balancer.

Right, but because mine are imbalanced, one will be over that (and trigger shutdown) while others are much lower.
I'm going to try the @mikefitz method above...
