A friend has lost his JK BMS software to change settings as well as getting into the device. I have heard about this special code valid for 15 minutes - who do you contact for it ? Is it the same for all or is the code different for every BMS. Could someone perhaps share the code privately to try

Contact whoever sold you the bms. They will contact JK. Once you get it back, never change the password again. It is a known bug. Don't see how that got past quality control.

Send an email to jikongbms@163.com, @Nami will very happy to help you.
I have his wa number, but better you trying write an email first.
She has keygen app for JK BMS, it will solve your problem ?

JK are off my list now until they resolve this password bullshit, I'm not having no hardware locked out because of a password issue that is absolutely ridiculous.

I agree. It’s a useless function on a unit with a very weak Bluetooth anyway and causes nothing but aggravation and time to try and access your OWN hardware. Think I wasted my money on these BMS’s.

I tried to change that 123456 pass word used to get into settings ... on a most recently updated android app from play store, connected to my new and 1st JK BMS B2A24S20P; and it was Scary. I wondered if I would be lock out and have to look for a default reset, or be down w a bricked BMS. Glad the old password worked on 3rd try or so. For Me: Resolved: If I close the app and reopen it (when it is acting up), I works. If that does not work ... I would recommend: Reboot phone , and try again, and make sure you hit all proper numbers w finger typing. ... Re that blinking "Modify PWD In time" message in App: I tried setting a new set of 6 numbers, and not sure why that procedure did not take for me. Wondering in anyone is getting new password set up properly, ... lately ??? On an up note, ? ... I have my JK BMS configured how I want now, including w a 4.3 " LCD screen; and expecting it to be my best BMS to date ??⛵?

I just set a new name, and password for my JK BMS B2A8S20P ... for a DIY 14 Volt LiFePO4 build; after studying the manual.
... the way it worked for me on that BMS ... was on "Status" page/ I hit 3 bars on top left to get the bluetooth connect page, and then hit the "pen" for edit. ... I modified name from there 1st. / but could not Modify Password from there on first try. On my set up, I had to give default 123456 password on advance settings page, ... then hit "Modify PWD" , ... and from there I was able to proceed. for a password change. Now I have a new name for this BMS, and a new password (wise protection for a boat dock area). ... I will do this later on the 48V JK BMS I set up earlier/ and now think this procedure will work fine (& would come back here and report if not). If you have issues w the password not being accepted/ my thoughts are 1st your reboot app/ and if that does not work ... reboot your phone ... before worrying (like I briefly did) about a Bricked BMS ... ... My Two Cents on JK BMS Name & Password changes. I think my choice of 2A Active/ 200 Amp capable JK BMS was a wide choice/ think they represent the best evoltion for my BMS options in 2023. ... My Two Cents

I just got mine setup and going the other day and this is how it worked for me. Modified Name and then modified password. It all working good so far. I have screen setup also and painfully did full discharge and recharge twice and SOC is spot on.

I just updated to 4.8.1 and after doing so and rebooting got the'make a pair failure'. 1234 does not work, I don't recall changing the bluetoorh pswd. Have tried otgee 'common' cimbos, 4 and 6-8 digit ... nope.

I did change the internal 'Settings' password, all letters.

Have been trying to get back into my two BMSs for several days now. Have uninstalled, reinstalled, gone back to lower versions, rebooting, cleared data/cache.... bla bla bla.

Thoughts?

Feb 15, still no JK fix after 3 custom login BT passwords lasting only 10-15 minutes, this for the last 5 weeks.

Vendor says he will replace, but should I go with JK AGAiN?
