looking for advice for a backup for a 14KW generator using 24V 100 Ah lifepower 4 battery with a sungold power sine wave inverter / charger. I want to use the battery and inverter to power a refrig, freezer, and gas furnace during the night without having to run the diesel generator. I have no solar panels. The load demand is about 400 combined watts for the frig, freezer when they are cycling. The total load for all is about 1180 watts for frig, freezer, furnace. I'm thinking the 24 volt 100 ah 5KW lifepower 4 batter would be enough to power the equipment during the night time, and using the diesel generator to recharge the battery during the day. Like to get some advice on this.

24V * 100Ah = 2400 Wh or 2.4kWh or 2kWh usable.

A very efficient normal size of refrigerator/freezer would take 1kWh per night.

Depend on how long furnace is running, you should be ok.

5KW at 24v means a lot of DC amps I think.
Others can comment better than me probably on exact calculation, but I think you're on your way to 250A DC to feed the inverter (full rate).
