Solar generator/battery bank completed. Fully portable! 🌞 I built out the frame to hold the Lithium-Ion battery [2560kwh 200A 12.8v] (upgradable 5120kwh when I drop in a 2nd 200A LifePo4 battery in parallel). Added a marine grade master switch, 120A circuit breaker, 2/0 AWG welding cables, intake and exhaust fans with an automatic temperature controller, 12v cigarette lighter ports, USB 3.0 and USB-C ports, can be wall charged at 60A or solar charged at 80A mppt up to 1000w of solar panels. The built in 1000W AC inverter has a max surge of 2000W. I wired the 2 gang outlet with 20A hospital grade outlets that have a ground fault protection and used a heavier cable to withstand higher loads and durability. Gonna use those toggle switches for some utility lights later on. The fabric the inverter/controller is sitting on is welding cloth that can withstand temps up to 1500 degrees, just in case! 😁 Added a wifi module for tracking from anywhere. Going to add an external battery monitor screen and shunt to better track the battery capacity throughout the day as the load fluctuates. Will begin mounting the solar panels soon (Six 100W Newpowa rigid panels with 23% efficiency). I will also post a list of all the items used for the build soon. 🔋
It's been running very well, and the cables have been staying pretty cool. But mostly using it to run everything in my living room and computer desk during the day while I work. The inverter hasn't given me any issues with the quality of the pure sine wave. 👍🏽20220322_121234.jpg

The white circle mount in the top left is the base for a smoke alarm/Co2 detector that connects to my Ring alarm system

Much better breaker than that cheap $20 one I bought at first. Returned that back to Amazon. This is much safer!

Thanks Bud! I haven't had a chance to weigh it but I'd say about 50-60 lbs. The cart makes it easy to move around but once I drop that 2nd battery it will be alot more cumbersome when taking it outside or in my vehicle. I hear those Ecoflow Delta pros are about 95 pounds and only have 3600kwh of battery capacity.

how do you place your solar panel? I mounted mine on those baby strollers people throw away, 1x300W + 2x100W

That's a great idea! I'm still working on setting mine up on my deck. I'm going to lift them up to get better exposure through the day at the edge of the railing. I'm in an apartment currently so I routed the cables through the heating intake vents.

Hey guys,

Looking to do a similar build.... Wondering do you have any issues with heat inside the closed box? (I'm putting in a rigid toolbox, which is a little smaller than your boxes)

Also, does anyone worry about MPP saying to only mount on a non-flammable surface?

yes to run 50% or more load with the box close will get pretty hot inside, recommend at least 2 fans inside to help cool down the unit

wow, so even with your two fans, it still gets hot on a load?

Great work guys. I was also planning on doing the same but putting a somewhat compact Pelican Vault 600 case. Looks great!
