My problem: can't get a inquiry from Overkill, regarding their BMS in my 12 volt, 8 cell configuration. Overkill will not tell me how to use their BMS in this configuration. They say config. their system and then make some circuit board changes ( jumper soldier leads). All the say is that all their BMS will work, but I get a shut down of the BMS under my load of 10 amps

8s is usually a 24v config, 12v is 4s unless you're doing a 2p4s battery config. Can you post a drawing of how you have everything configured?

As for the 10a load, that's an issue to tackle after the cell config is straightened out, but that's not right.

I used the configuration that Overkill suggests

Not if you have 8 cells in there. A 12v BMS is a 4 cell configuration.

What you'll need to do is set it up in a 2p4s configuration, so take 2 cells and bolt them together + to + and - to - to make a "single" cell. Then take 4 of those "cells" and wire them up as per the instructions for a 4s battery.

Hmmm... that should work right. All your balance leads are in the right place (didn't get 2 backwards on accident) and you've got full voltage through the BMS P- and Batt+? Does the app show all 4 cells voltage correctly?

If you can only do 10a before the BMS trips, maybe there's a setting that got goofed like "Max Amperage= 10" instead of =100?

I'd take a tour through the app settings and see if there's something screwey in there. Screen captures might help someone on here spot an oddity.
