Hi All,

I have a barn 300 feet from my main house where I have installed my panels(19K) and sol-ark 15K inverter. This barn has grid power from the utility (200 Amp). The house has grid power from the utility as well (2-200 Amp lines). I will connect the barn grid to the Inverter for pass through power and disconnect both lines at the house. I plan on running power from the inverter to the house in buried conduit. My question is do I have to run three lines (2/00) for the two positives and a neutral? Or can I just use the neutral line that is already at the house from the utility and run just two wires? This neutral from the grid at the barn will be bonded to the ground and is connected to the inverter neutral.

Thanks in advance,
Mike

No

You need that ground to be the fault circuit to trip whatever the first safety thing in line is.
So three conductors and a ground - 4 wires- if as you described
for the two positives and a neutral?
